(BBL 2018-19) Hobart Hurricanes Women vs Sydney Sixers Women 15th Match Prediction. We’re into the third week of Women’s Big Bash League and surprisingly points table is a lot different to what many predicted prior to the start of the competition. All seven teams have played three matches each and unlike what was predicted by many fans across the globe, Perth Scorchers are struggling to get anywhere near the top. The Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder, Melbourne Stars and Adelaide Strikers occupy the top four spots, but the other teams too are breathing down their neck leaving very little margin for error. Sydney Sixers have arguably been the best team in the season so far, but they, too, suffered a defeat at the hands of Renegades. The Sixers will now take on Hobart Hurricanes on 15th December at Blundstone Arena in Hobart.

Our Pick : Sydney Sixers Women

Hobart Hurricanes have improved massively from the last year and they’ve recently been boosted by the arrival of Smriti Mandhana to their lineup. Her impact was evident in the second match she played where she played an important knock of 69 runs to take Hurricanes’ total to 196 which was also the highest total by any team in this edition of WBBL and also Hobart Hurricanes’ highest total in Big Bash League history.

Apart from Smriti Mandhana, Heather Knight has been in tremendous form with both bat and ball. Her recent figures of 3-10 validates her good form in the competition. Erin Fazackerley has been relishing her position at the top of the order and has been instrumental In Hobart’s good run so far.

In their last match, the Hurricanes thumped Melbourne Stars to open their account in the tournament. Batting first, Hobart Hurricanes racked up a total of 196 runs with important contributions coming from Matthews, Sasha Moloney, and Smriti Mandhana. After an excellent show with the bat, their bowlers contributed brilliantly to restrict Stars

to just 124.

Sydney Sixers have so far been the standout team on the tournament and their top of the table validates that. They’ve won two out of the three games they’ve played with their only loss coming against Melbourne Stars, in their opening game of the tournament.

Their wins, however have largely been depended on h the top order’s performance. Their dominance has been due to sheer brilliance of the Aussie pair of Elysse Perry and Alyssa Healy. Both of them have ensured that the Sixers emerge victorious in the game they’ve won. Elysse Perry already has a century to her name which she scored in their game against Scorchers which included 14 fours and 2 sixes.

Bering Perry and Healy, however, their middle order has only disappointed. Only Dane van Niekerk has been somewhat supportive to Perry and Healy. They have the services of Ashleigh Gardner, Erin Burns and Sara McGlashan who can turn the tables on their day. So far they’ve been lucky with Perry and Healy firing from all cylinders. Their middle order will need to step up quickly and if that happens, the Sixers will be close to invincible.

Ellyse Perry, Alyssa Healy, Ashleigh Gardner, Erin Burns, Sara McGlashan, Dane van Niekerk, Tahlia Wilson, Hayley Silver-Holmes, Marizanne Kapp, Lauren Smith, Lauren Cheatle.
